Keith’s Concrete had Settled, became Broken and Sloped Toward the House
Keith’s driveway and garage floor had broken and were sinking, allowing additional water to accumulate underneath the slab pieces. Plus, the sidewalk from his sinking driveway was also settling and sloping toward the house,., That caused all the rainwater to run toward his foundation. Water gathering under the concrete has caused these concrete settling problems over time.
The Chuck’s Sandjacking pros first lifted the settling concrete - using their unique, patented processes. Then – again using their patented process - they injected ultra-dried sand into all the hollow voids beneath the slabs, providing the stable, solid base needed for long term stability. No other concrete lifting and stabilizing providers use these proven processes.
Vickie’s Backyard Patio and Deck had Settled more than 6”
Vickie was afraid she’d have to have her entire sinking (6”+) patio slab redone. In addition, that would have required removing the deck and rebuilding it after the new concrete was installed. Water had found its way under the concrete slab. The huge slab was slowly sinking more every year.
This was a complicated project, but Chuck’s Sandjacking – using several of their unique, patented processes – lifted the deck and slab to their original levels. They filled all the empty voids below the slab with ultra-dried sand, providing a solid, stable base assuring the patio will remain in place in the future. During the process they made certain that the patio sloped to the lawn, away from the foundation.
Norm and his Wife knew Fixing their Driveway had to be their First Priority
When they purchased their 20-year-old twin home in 2023, Norm and his wife were well aware of their sinking driveway. The driveway was about three inches lower than the garage floor – quite a hazard. What they didn’t know was that their sidewalk and front steps were also sinking because of accumulating water beneath the concrete. Chuck’s Sandjacking found the problems. There were many hollow areas under the driveway slab, a sidewalk that was sinking and sloping toward the steps and the brick-concrete steps had begun settling and breaking apart.
The Chuck’s Sandjacking crew arrived at 2 pm and in less than three hours had everything leveled and stabilized. The garage floor and the driveway now are the same height (raised three inches), the sidewalk is correctly sloped and raised, along with the steps –all back to their original positions. Everything was raised and leveled - using their unique, patented processes - and stabilized with their patented ultra-dried sand injection process filling the many empty voids (which had been flooded with water over time) under the concrete slabs. The voids are now completely full of ultra-dried sand. Stabilized and safe.
Jeff’s Patio Slab had Sunk 4” in the Corner against the House.
Jeff and his wife purchased a new twin home in south Fargo. They recognized the potential problem caused by the patio slab having sunken more than four inches. It was in a corner, bordered on two sides by the house walls. When it rained, that’s where all the water would collect. It was a classic case of sinking and settling concrete caused by accumulating water and an unstable base under the slab. Hollow voids are caused by water and erosion.
Chuck’s Sanding team – using their unique, patented lifting processes, raised the entire concrete slab and completely filled the empty voids under it with ultra-dried sand. The patio now slopes away from the house – assuring water will flow harmlessly toward the lawn. And while the crew was there…they raised the sidewalk along his house too 😊 Settled concrete is no longer a problem at Jeff’s home.
The massive slope of a settling concrete slab fixed, once and for all!
This north Fargo home had a big problem! The slab off the rear garage entry door had settled more than 5 inches in the corner. The drop out of the door was nearly four inches! A sprained ankle – or worse – was just waiting to happen. The owner was also afraid his basement wall could cave in from accumulating water.
This was an interesting project, to say the least. Raising the concrete required several of Chuck’s Sandjacking’s unique, patented lifting techniques to get the slab raised so that it would slope away from the house. Once the concrete was lifted back to it’s original level, (with a positive slope for water draining), ultra-dried sand was injected into the many empty voids below the slab – assuring a solid, stable base. NO HOLES were drilled in the concrete! Watch the video to see the amazing transition.

The concrete apron in front of the new Fargo City Hall had become a serious hazard!
Quite often, several hundred people walk through the front doors of the new Fargo City Hall. Over the past few years, the large concrete apron at the main entryway of the building had sunk and settled to an alarming low level. The potential for someone tripping and falling had become a serious concern of city officials.
The Chuck’s Sandjacking crew solved the problem of settling concrete. Initially – using their unique, patented process – they lifted the large concrete slab so that it was even with the entryway (raised about two inches). Then they injected ultra-dried sand – a unique, patented process of Chuck’s a Sandjacking - under the slab, filling the many hollow voids. No more settling concrete. Elimination of empty voids under the slab. The concrete apron is now level again! This process saved city taxpayers thousands and thousands of dollars compared to having to replace all that concrete.
The Downtown Fargo Library sidewalk had become a hazard!
The highly used Downtown Fargo Library had a problem. Over the years, the concrete sidewalk on the east side – a main entryway – had settled, causing quite a potential tripping hazard. Safety is always at the top of the list for city buildings.
The crew from Chuck’s Sandjacking fixed the problem. Concrete can settle over time, if the base isn’t stable and solid. Water gets underneath, causing erosion which causes sinking and settling of concrete slabs. This was a relatively simply project for the team. In just a couple of hours, they lifted the concrete sidewalk – using their unique, patented lifting processes. They filled all the empty voids beneath the slab with ultra-dried and – also one of Chuck’s Sandjacking’s patented processes. Solid. Stabilized. Safe for all the kids, parents and senior citizens again. Success!
